God’s Pantry Food Bank Announces Leadership Transition and Interim President & CEO Appointment
Lexington, KY— The Board of Directors of God’s Pantry Food Bank has announced a leadership transition, following the departure of President and CEO Michael Halligan after more than a decade of service to the organization.
“Mike has played an important role in advancing God’s Pantry Food Bank’s mission to reduce hunger across Kentucky,” said Dr. Andrew Henderson, Chair of the Board of Directors. “We are grateful for his years of leadership, dedication, and service to the communities we serve. We extend our sincere appreciation for his contributions and wish him and his family all the best in the future.”
The Board hasappointed Danielle Bozarth, the organization’s current Chief Operating Officer,as Interim President and CEO, effective immediately.
“I am very pleased to share that the Board has appointed Danielle Bozarth as Interim President and CEO,” said Henderson. “Her experience, knowledge, and dedication to our mission will be invaluable as she leads this organization during this important transition.”
Bozarth brings more than 30 years of service to God’s Pantry Food Bank, having grown with the organization and played a critical role in strengthening its operations and expanding its impact across the Commonwealth. Her decades of experience and unwavering commitment to the mission will provide strong, steady leadership during this transition.
“It is an honor to serve God’s Pantry Food Bank in this role and continue the work that means so much to me,” said Bozarth. “I’ve had the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team and partners who are deeply committed to our mission. Together, we will remain focused on serving our neighbors and ensuring that children, families, and seniors in Central and Eastern Kentucky won’t have to face hunger alone.”
The Board of Directors has initiated a comprehensive process to identify the organization’s next President and CEO, including a nationwide search.
God’s Pantry Food Bank remains focused on its mission to end hunger across Central and Eastern Kentucky, continuing to provide critical services and programs to thousands of Kentuckians each day through its network of 500+ partner pantries and meal programs.
