We're shining a spotlight on Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance for their ongoing commitment as dedicated volunteers at God’s Pantry Food Bank. One of their team members, Patrick Simpson, shared his experience:
“I have volunteered at God’s Pantry with my KEMI family, my local church family, and my own family numerous times. I have cherished all the opportunities to volunteer at God’s Pantry, but my favorite events with my KEMI family involve bulk food repackaging. We work so closely in unison that it makes us all so happy and have so much fun. The Thanksgiving turkey box packing and delivery is also one of my favorite events of the year.”
Patrick went on to say this about Sharing Thanksgiving, “Even my family has turned this event into an annual tradition and something we look forward to every year.”
“My favorite part of volunteering with my KEMI family is getting to catch up with teammates whom I have not seen in a while. These events outside the office allow us to forget about our day jobs for a short while and talk about life, family, sports, etc., all while making a difference. Having the privilege of serving others alongside my KEMI family has been one of the highlights of my career.”
