1 in 5 children across Central and Eastern Kentucky are a part of families that aren’t sure how they will provide the next meal. When hungry, children are more likely to suffer from chronic health conditions or have problems in school and social situations due to developmental and behavioral issues. It’s hard to concentrate in class or complete homework with a growling tummy. Working with many local community partners, God’s Pantry Food Bank strives to alleviate childhood hunger so learning and growing are easier for all of Kentucky’s kids and teens.
Our CEO, Mike Halligan, talks about modifications to programs that help kids and teens that allow us to continue to support families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
